Starting the Fairy Questline
To start the fairy questline, you need to be far enough in the story where you can free roam the entire map at your leisure. You also need to unlock the first tower in the first town that you come across, which is the Lookout Landing. Once you do, there will be a bird named Pen sitting outside of the tower, who will tell you about a paper he is working on and would like your help. From here, you need to go meet him at the next location.
Meeting Pen at the Next Location
Once you have finished your conversation with Pen at Lookout Landing, you will want to head northwest along the road. You will need to find a way across the gorge, either by launching yourself in the air or using the reverse time skill that you learned at the beginning of the game. Unlock the shrine here for a fast travel spot, and then head to the Lucky Clover Gazette. Once there, head inside the renovated stables and talk to Pen. After finding the drummer and completing another side quest, return to Dueling Peak Stables and build a boat to take the musicians across the river to the final fairy’s location.
